OFFICIAL REGULATIONS
BULTİŞAD
ART × INDUSTRY 2026

These Official Regulations govern the terms, procedures, and rules for participation in the BULTİŞAD Art × Industry 2026 competition, as well as all related processes, including selection, exhibitions, art editions, and the auction.

I. ORGANIZER

1. Organizer

The project is organized by BULTİŞAD – the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which acts as an institutional guarantor of transparency, sustainability, and international cooperation.

2. What is Art x Industry?

Art x Industry is an annual international platform that combines an art competition with industrial implementation by applying selected original designs to a predetermined industrial object.

The platform operates within the framework of a structured selection procedure conducted by an international jury and includes an exhibition, auction, and award format.

A detailed description of the selection process and jury is regulated in Section IV.

3. Why Bulgaria and Turkiye?

The choice of Bulgaria and Turkiye is deliberate and strategic. The two countries share history, geographical proximity, and active economic ties. The project adds a cultural and human dimension that deepens these relations beyond trade.

II. OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION

1. Ensuring international visibility for fine art painters from Bulgaria and Turkey;

2. Creating real economic opportunities through exhibition and auction formats;

3. Establishing a sustainable annual model for cooperation between the cultural and industrial sectors;

4. Support and development of a Cultural Interaction Fund through a portion of the realized revenues.

III. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Who can apply?

Professional and amateur fine art painters who are citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria or the Republic of Turkey and are at least 18 years old can take part.
 

Participants under 18 years of age may apply through the online application form; however, their participation will be considered valid only upon submission of explicit written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

After submitting the application, the parent/legal guardian is required to send an email to: info@artnindustry.com, including:

  • full name and age of the participant;

  • full name of the parent/legal guardian;

  • explicit consent for participation in the competition;

  • confirmation that the parent/legal guardian has read and accepts the Official Regulations on behalf of the participant.

The sending of the email shall be considered valid expression of consent.

Applications without such consent will not be reviewed.

The Organizer reserves the right to request additional information if necessary.

2. What are the technical requirements for applications?

  • Applications must be submitted via the online form on the website.

  • All materials must be uploaded directly through the application form.

  • The files must present an original artwork created by the applicant.

  • Only original painting artworks created with paint using traditional painting techniques (e.g. oil, acrylic, watercolor, tempera) on canvas, paper, wood, or other physical surfaces are accepted.

  • Works in the field of graphic art (e.g. pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink) are also accepted.

  • Digital images or works created wholly or partially with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) are strictly not accepted.

  • The competition has no predefined thematic framework.

  • Participants have full freedom in choosing artistic content, style, and concept.

  • Each applicant may submit up to 3 artworks.

  • Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or PDF.

  • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi.

  • Maximum total size of uploaded files: 25 MB.

  • Selected works may be adapted for industrial application on Cambro trays with approximate dimensions of 36 × 46 cm.

  • Works that violate copyright will not be accepted.

  • Works generated by artificial intelligence are not permitted.

3. Freedom of artistic content

The competition has no predetermined thematic framework.

Participants have complete freedom in choosing artistic content, style, and concept, provided that the work is intended for potential application to the industrial site for the respective edition.

4. Why is the application open and free?

The open and free nature of the competition aims to remove financial and administrative barriers and provide an equal starting point for all applicants.

5. Why is there a limit of up to 3 artworks per participant?

The limit of up to 3 artworks is intended to encourage careful selection and the presentation of each artist’s strongest works.

At the same time, it allows artists to showcase different aspects of their practice, which are then professionally evaluated by the jury.

6. How the application process works?

Applications are submitted entirely online via the application form on the Platform and include:

  • Presentation of the artist;

  • Presentation of the artworks;

  • A declaration of authorship and consent;

  • Acceptance of these Regulations and the Platform’s policies

By submitting an application, the participant declares their consent that, if selected as a finalist, the original work will be included in the exhibition and auction format in accordance with these regulations..

7. Deadlines

  • Start: Mart 15, 2026

  • End: May 30, 2026, 23:59 (Bulgarian time)

After this time, the platform automatically closes submissions.

IV. SELECTION PROCESS AND JURY

1. Composition of the jury

The jury is international and consists of:

  • 3 representatives from Bulgaria;

  • 3 representatives from Turkiye ;

  • 1 independent curator.

2. Selection model

The selection process is two-stage and aims to clearly distinguish between:

  • industrial realization (Cambro Art Edition);

  • finalists for exhibition and auction format.

3. First stage – selection of 30 works

From all submitted applications, the jury selects 30 works that:

  • are realized as part of Cambro Art Edition 2026 (a limited art series on the industrial site);

  • receive the status of selected participants.

Selected participants are not considered finalists.

The jury may select some of the realized art series for exhibition.

4. Second stage – selection of 20 finalists

From the 30 selected works, the jury will select 20 finalists:

  • 10 works by Bulgarian authors;

  • 10 works by Turkish authors.

The finalists:

  • participate in exhibitions in Bulgaria and Turkey;

  • participate in the official international auction;

  • are eligible for cash prizes.

The competition, auction, and awards feature original works, not industrial objects with designs applied to them.

*** The jury has the right, at its discretion, to include individual copies from the Cambro Art Edition in the exhibitions and/or within the auction event. These copies are representative in nature and do not replace the participation of the original works in the competition, auction, and awards.

5. Finality of decisions

The decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.

6. Deadlines

The selection process starts on 01.06.2026 and ends on 30.06.2026

V. INDUSTRIAL REALIZATION - CAMBRO ART EDITION 2026

1. What is it?

Cambro Art Edition is a limited art-industrial series, part of the BULTİŞAD Art x Industry 2026 project, through which selected works of art are reproduced on Cambro trays as an industrial medium.

2. Which participants are involved?

Cambro Art Edition includes the works of the 30 selected participants, determined in the first stage of the selection process. Participation in Art Edition is not linked to finalist status.

3. Format and limited edition

For each selected artwork, a limited series of 12 pieces is created, with each replica individually numbered, signed by the artist, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

* Given the possibility of production defects, CAMBRO may additionally prepare 2 (two) spare copies; however, the final number of trays produced, numbered, and distributed can under no circumstances exceed 12 (twelve).

4. Distribution of the limited edition

The distribution of the series is carried out as follows:

  • 5 pieces – for the artist;

  • 2 pieces – for the BULTİŞAD collection;

  • 2 pieces – for auction and support of the Cultural Interaction Fund;

  • 2 pieces – for the CAMBROs remaining in the CAMBRO Art Collection;

  • 1 piece – an archival and promotional copy;

  • 2 copies – spare copies in case of a production defect.*

5. Copyright and original work

Cambro Art Edition does not replace the original work and does not result in the transfer of copyright. The original work remains the sole property of the author.

Industrial production is carried out with the express consent of the author within the framework of these regulations.

VI. EXHIBITIONS

1. Mutual hosting model

The exhibitions are held on a reciprocal basis:

  • Works by Turkish finalists are presented in Bulgaria;

  • Works by Bulgarian finalists are presented in Turkey.

This model promotes cultural exchange and equality between the two countries.

2. Who participates in the exhibitions?

Twenty finalists, selected in accordance with Section IV, are participating in the exhibitions.

The finalists are:

  • 10 Bulgarian authors;

  • 10 Turkish authors.

Participation in the exhibition is based on the status of "finalist." The physical presence of the author during the exhibitions is not mandatory.  The participation of the work in the exhibition is part of the competition format and stems from the status of "finalist."

3. What do the exhibitions present?

Each exhibition presents:

  • the original works of the finalists;

  • individual copies from the Cambro Art Edition, selected at the discretion of the jury.

The copies from the Cambro Art Edition are representative in nature and do not replace the original works.

4. When will the exhibitions be held?

  • September 2026 in Sofia, Bulgaria – featuring Turkish artists;

  • October 2026 in Turkiye – featuring Bulgarian artists.

  • (Specific dates and locations will be announced additionally.)

5. Organizational expenses

The costs of transportation, insurance, and exhibition of the works shall be covered by the organizer (BULTİŞAD), including through partnerships and sponsorships.

VII. PRIZES

The reward system combines:

The award system combines:

  • professional evaluation by an international jury;

  • national recognition;

  • public vote.

The awards are presented to the 20 finalists selected in accordance with Section IV.

Main prizes

  • First prize – €3,000 and the title "Artistrial"

* Artistreal is a combination of two key words that characterize the publication: Artist+Industrial

  • Second prize – €1,500

  • Third prize – €1,000

The main prizes are determined by an international jury based on artistic merit, conceptual strength, and relevance to the theme of the edition.

National Awards

€500 – "Best Bulgarian Artist"
€500 – "Best Turkish Artist"

The national awards are determined by the jury and reflect the artist's contribution to the national art scene.

Audience Awards

€500 – Audience Award (Bulgaria)
€500 – Audience Award (Turkey)
The Audience Awards are determined by voting at the exhibitions.
The voting procedure is announced in advance and guarantees transparency and fairness.

General Terms

A single work and/or author may receive only one award within a single edition.
The awards are given to the original works of the finalists.
Industrial sites from Cambro Art Edition do not participate independently in the award system.
The jury's decisions regarding the awards are final.

VIII. AUCTION

1. What does the auction include?

The auction is an official event for the sale of artworks created within the framework of the BULTİŞAD Art × Industry 2026 project.

The auction includes:

  • the original works of the 20 finalists;

  • selected representative pieces from Cambro Art Edition, at the discretion of the jury.

The participation of the original works in the auction is part of the competition format.
By submitting an application and being selected as a finalist, the author agrees to have the original work included in the auction event.

2. Conducting the auction

The auction will be held online in October 2026.

The starting bid for each original work will be determined by the organizer and/or the authorized auction operator.
The price takes into account the market value of the work and the need to cover organizational costs, with the aim of protecting the author's professional reputation and avoiding devaluation of the work.

Detailed information on the date, format, and rules for participation will be published on the official project platform.

3. Revenue Distribution

The proceeds from sales realized through the auction shall be distributed as follows:

  • 50% – to the author;

  • 40% – to the Chamber (BULTİŞAD) Cultural Interaction Fund;

  • 10% – commission for the auction house or operator.

The above distribution applies to the sale of original works.

In the event that copies from Cambro Art Edition are included in the auction, the distribution conditions shall be determined additionally by the organizer and announced in advance.

4. Contractual relations

The contract with the buyer is concluded by the organizer and/or the authorized auction operator.

After the sale is finalized, the proceeds are distributed according to the specified model.

Participation in the auction does not guarantee the sale of the work.

5. Status of the original work

The auction refers to the original works of the finalists.

The industrial realization (Cambro Art Edition) is representative in nature and does not replace the original work in the competition and award format.

IX. COPYRIGHT AND LICENSING TERMS

Copyright, including all economic and moral rights in the original works, remains entirely the property of their authors.

By participating in the competition, authors do not transfer their copyright. The Organizer undertakes to respect the inalienable moral rights of the author, including the right of attribution and the right to integrity of the work.

By submitting an application and accepting these Regulations, each participant whose work is selected (including finalists) enters into a license agreement with the Organizer, under which they grant a non-exclusive and royalty-free license to use digital images of the selected work for the following purposes and under the following conditions:

  • Modes of use: Reproduction and public communication (including making available online) of the work for the purposes of: promoting the work and its author; project communication and promotional materials; publications in print and digital media related to the project; exhibition catalogues (print and digital); the official website and official social media channels of the project.

  • Remuneration: No remuneration shall be due.

  • Term and territory: The license is granted for the maximum period permitted by law and for the entire world. After the expiration of the license term, the Organizer retains the right to use images of the selected works solely for non-commercial, archival, and documentary purposes related to the history and reporting of the platform. This right remains valid for the duration of copyright protection and only with mandatory attribution of the author’s name.

  • Obligations of the Organizer: For each use of the image, the Organizer shall clearly and visibly indicate the name of the author. The Organizer undertakes to provide the author, once per year, with information regarding the use of the work.

Participants whose works are selected for the Cambro Art Edition grant the Organizer a separate non-exclusive and royalty-free license for adaptation and reproduction of the work in a limited edition (10 pieces) on an industrial object (Laminated Cambro tray, nominal size 36 × 46 cm). Due to technical and production constraints, the Organizer, in coordination with Cambro, reserves the right to reasonably adjust the size, format, or technical specifications of the industrial object or the applied artwork, where necessary for manufacturing feasibility, provided that such adjustments do not materially alter the artistic integrity of the work or prejudice the author’s honor or reputation. This license is deemed granted through the author’s explicit consent at the time of application and becomes effective upon the announcement of the selection. The author agrees to the necessary adaptation of the work for industrial application, provided that it does not prejudice their honor or reputation.

Participants agree that the Organizer may publicly announce their participation in the competition and promote it, including through the use of the participant’s name, images of the works, biographical data, and other submitted materials, provided that such use respects the author’s honor and reputation.

By submitting an application, each participant declares that the works submitted are original works created by them and that they hold all necessary rights, including the right for public display.

The participant declares that no third parties hold rights or claims, whether economic or moral, in relation to the submitted works, including their participation in exhibitions, auctions, publications, and other forms of public presentation within the project.

In the event that third parties raise any claims against the participant related to infringement of intellectual property rights or damages associated with the works submitted within the competition, the participant shall bear full responsibility. The Organizer shall not be a party to such disputes, and the participant shall indemnify the Organizer for any damages incurred in connection with such claims or disputes.

X. PERSONAL DATA AND ETHICAL STANDARDS

All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable national and European legislation and in accordance with the platform's Privacy Policy.

By submitting an application, participants consent to the processing of their personal data for the purposes of:

  • administering the competition;

  • communicating about the project;

  • publishing names, biographical data, and images of the works within the exhibition, auction, and communication format.

The organizer guarantees that personal data will not be used for purposes unrelated to the project, nor will it be provided to third parties beyond what is necessary for its implementation.

The project is based on the principles of professional ethics, transparency, equality, and respect for cultural diversity.

XI. FINAL PROVISIONS

The purpose of these rules is to build trust, predictability, and a sustainable model of interaction between artists, institutions, industry, and the public.

By submitting their application, participants declare that they are familiar with the terms and conditions of the regulations and accept them unconditionally.

The organizer reserves the right, if objectively necessary, to change specific dates, technical parameters, or organizational elements, with all changes being published in a timely manner on the official platform and not affecting the fundamental rights of the participants.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavor to resolve it through dialogue and mutual agreement. If no agreement can be reached, the dispute shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
